Updated: Grid Scan

By Steven Van ·

The rebuilt React Bits background adds a glossy floor and click pings, and it ships in JavaScript or TypeScript with plain CSS or Tailwind.

React Bits has rebuilt Grid Scan, its 3D grid background, as a lit room. It has crisp lines, a glossy floor and sparkling scan points, and it needs no extra dependencies.

How it behaves

The view shifts like a window as you move, and a click sends a ping across the walls. The component is described as a 3D grid room swept by a scanning light that follows your view.

Using it

Grid Scan is listed on the React Bits site under Backgrounds, and the announcement page has the install options. You can pick JavaScript or TypeScript, and plain CSS or Tailwind. The shadcn command for the TypeScript and Tailwind version is:

npx shadcn@latest add @react-bits/GridScan-TS-TW
