๐๏ธ Images In Notes
By Steven Van ยท
Raycast 2.10 for macOS adds images and gifs to Notes, drag-and-drop list items, and unlimited notes on the free plan.
Raycast Notes now supports images, including gifs. Images can be dropped onto a note, dragged to re-order, and referenced from external sources in markdown. The change is part of Raycast v2.10 for macOS, released on 28 October 2026.
Notes changes
- Images and gifs can be added by drag and drop, re-ordered by click and drag, and referenced from external image sources in markdown.
- List items can be re-ordered by drag and drop.
- The auto-size button below a note is back.
- Clicking a checkbox while holding โ also completes its children.
- On Tahoe, "Hide while screen recording" is back. It hides the Notes window while sharing a screen, for example in Zoom.
Free plan
The 5 note limit on the free plan has been lifted. Free accounts can now create unlimited notes.
Other changes in 2.10
- AI Chat: items from compatible AI Extensions can be searched and mentioned from the @ menu, which brings their content into the conversation.
- AI Chat: table headers stay visible while scrolling long tables, and long chats open, scroll and stream replies faster while using less memory.
- Contacts: new actions to edit and delete contacts.
- AI usage meters now warn in orange and red as the limit approaches.
- Dictation: post-processing changes aim to reduce unwanted em dashes and unexpected whitespace.
The release also includes fixes for Window Layouts on vertically arranged displays, MCP connection timeouts with streaming HTTP servers, compact mode toasts, and stale placeholder values in Snippets and Quicklinks.
