API Platform: Updated API response header names
By Steven Van ·
QuiverAI API clients have until December 31, 2026 to move to the new x-quiverai- data posture headers before the old names are removed.
The QuiverAI API now prefixes four data posture response headers with x-quiverai- instead of x-quiver-. The change was documented in the API reference.
Renamed headers
- inference-data-policy
- payload-capture
- request-metadata-policy
- request-metadata-retention-seconds
Each now appears under the x-quiverai- prefix. Sandbox responses use x-quiverai-environment: test.
Deprecation timeline
The previous x-quiver- names are still emitted with identical values until December 31, 2026. They are deprecated and scheduled for removal on that date, so any client that reads them needs to switch to the new names before then.
Removed header
The x-quiver-zero-data-retention response header has been removed. QuiverAI says it never represented a ratified zero-data-retention guarantee.
What stays the same
The update changes header names and documentation only. The underlying data policies and retention behavior are unchanged. The API reference introduction lists the current headers and links to Data Controls.
