Added paired_item_id to the Item object, available through /item/get and /user/items/get

By Steven Van ·

Items from hybrid Link sessions, or with Plaid Check products added, now expose their counterpart Item's ID through /item/get and /user/items/get.

Plaid added a paired_item_id field to the Item object, returned by /item/get and /user/items/get. The change was listed in the Plaid changelog under Plaid Check Consumer Report.

What the field identifies

For Items created through a hybrid Link session, or by adding Plaid Check products to an existing Plaid Inc. Item, paired_item_id identifies the corresponding Plaid Inc. or Plaid Check Item. In other words, each Item in the pair points to the other.

When it is present

The field is omitted for Items that have no paired Item.
