Pika H3 Flex ships as an open-weight video model

By Steven Van ·

Open weights cover 480p and 768p. The 4K upscaler and audio stems stay hosted, and the Pika app follows on November 2.

On October 29, Pika introduced Pika H3 Flex, a post-trained MiniMax H3 model, with open weights, exportable audio stems, and resolutions up to 4K.

Official Pika announcement demo.

Pika's blog says that, at the time of writing, Flex ranked first among open-weight models and seventh overall on DesignArena's text-to-video board. A 15-second clip with audio at 768p can take as little as seven seconds of transformer computation, which Pika says is not the full wait for an API response. It also supports up to 12 references and five separate audio stems.

Open weights cover text-to-video, first and last frames, and reference-to-video, with audio at 480p and 768p. The 4K upscaler and stem separation are hosted. Flex is on the Pika API Club now and comes to the Pika app on November 2. The blog post does not list a price.
