Gemini 4 Argon costs $2.00 per million input tokens and $10.00 per million output tokens through November 30, 2026, on default processing only.
The Agent API now supports google/gemini-4-argon, and Perplexity is charging introductory rates for it through November 30, 2026. The change is listed in the Agent API models reference.
Introductory pricing
- $2.00 per million input tokens
- $0.10 per million cached input tokens
- $10.00 per million output tokens, with reasoning tokens billed at the output rate
The models page notes that these rates are introductory through November 30, 2026. It does not say what pricing applies after that date.
Service tiers
Gemini 4 Argon is listed as default processing only. The flex and priority tiers, which some OpenAI models on the same page offer, are not available for it. If a request asks for an unsupported tier, the API ignores the setting and uses default processing instead of rejecting the request.
