Group Practice EHR FAQs for Owners, Managers, Clinical Directors, and Billers
By Steven Van ·
The vendor's FAQ covers pricing at $80 per clinician per month, supervision sign-off, AI note consent and billing for group practices.
Oasys Health has published a role-by-role FAQ for group practices choosing an EHR, with answers for owners, practice managers, clinical directors and billers. The page is a vendor Q&A, and the copy provided ends partway through the billing section.
Pricing and switching
- Oasys costs $80 per clinician per month on an annual contract. Billing is included, with no add-ons and no per-claim, per-ERA or per-reminder fees.
- Oasys migrates existing forms and assessments. It does not require re-consenting every client before history moves over.
- Compensation can be modelled as contractor, salaried or blended commission, with per-therapist overrides. The payroll ledger is produced as an output, and payout can be gated on notes being signed and approved.
Operations and permissions
Permissions are scoped per role and per record type, so billing access does not imply clinical access. Chart access is granted per provider, and a client's record can be shared across the providers treating them. The post says Oasys generates claims directly from the signed note and blocks payment until the note is complete. Authorization gaps surface before the session, and a biller can submit a day's volume as a batch. Practice Analytics shows session, billing and document analytics in one view, with an export tool for a practice's own data.
Supervision and AI notes
- Supervision sign-off is a status with an append-only history: not required, pending review, approved, needs revision, or resubmitted. Billing is blocked on unapproved supervised sessions by default. A practice can opt into billing before approval.
- Sign-off can be marked not required for a specific supervisee and payer relationship. Multiple supervisors per supervisee are supported, with one marked primary.
- Oasys does not total supervision hours toward licensure. The post points to a dedicated ledger tool such as Time2Track or Tevera.
- AI note-taking transcribes live and does not store the audio. Consent is per client, and the transcript is removed once the note is signed and locked. The draft stays editable until the clinician signs.
Billing and credentialing
Practices can choose fully managed billing, where the Oasys billing team handles claims end to end, or self-serve billing. Oasys does not perform credentialing, primary source verification or payer enrollment, and works with credentialing companies instead. It handles clearinghouse enrollment for claims, ERA and eligibility, tracked per payer and per transaction type. The post says this has often wrapped up within a couple of weeks once a clinician is credentialed and paneled.
