TypeSafe Jev 1.14.0 Now Available in AI Gateway
By Steven Van ·
Jev 1.14.0 runs in Netlify Functions through AI Gateway with no API keys, and usage is billed to Netlify credits.
Jev 1.14.0, a model from TypeSafe, can now be called through Netlify's AI Gateway with no configuration. After installing @typesafe-ai/sdk, it works directly in Netlify Functions without managing API keys or authentication, as Netlify announced.
How it works
AI Gateway handles credentials automatically, and usage is billed to your Netlify credits. Jev answers typed questions about your application state.
Netlify's example uses jev-1.14.0 to categorize a support ticket as a bug, feature request, or question. The function creates a TypeSafeClient and calls systemOne with the model name, a state object holding the issue text ("App crashes when I click Save."), and a questions object. The question uses the SDK's choice helper with three options: bug, feature and question. The function then returns the response as JSON.
Where it runs
Jev 1.14.0 is also available across Scheduled Functions, Background Functions and Edge Functions. Calls get automatic access to Netlify's caching, rate limiting and authentication infrastructure.
