Developers can use the OpenAI SDK in Netlify Functions without managing API keys or authentication.
Developers can call Meta’s Muse Spark and Muse Wonder models through Netlify’s AI Gateway without configuring API keys or authentication. The announcement adds four model options for coding and agent workflows.
Four model options
- muse-spark-1.1 supports coding, computer use, and multimodal perception.
- muse-spark-1.2 is optimized for coding-focused agentic workflows.
- muse-spark-1.3 targets long-horizon coding and agentic work, with cleaner code and fewer tokens.
- muse-wonder-1.0 supports complex coding tasks, long-running agents, and advanced computer use.
Call models from Functions
The OpenAI SDK works directly in Netlify Functions, with AI Gateway handling setup automatically. The announcement’s example creates an OpenAI client and calls the Responses API with muse-wonder-1.0 as the model.
The models also work in Scheduled Functions, Background Functions, and Edge Functions. Netlify’s caching, rate limiting, and authentication infrastructure is available automatically.
