DeepSeek V4.1 Flash is now available through OpenRouter on Netlify's AI Gateway, with no configuration needed. Developers can call it with the OpenRouter SDK directly inside Netlify Functions, without managing API keys or authentication, since the AI Gateway handles that automatically.
The model works across Background Functions, Scheduled Functions, and Edge Functions, and calls get automatic access to Netlify's rate limiting and authentication infrastructure. More detail is in the announcement
