Runway adds MiniMax's H3 video model to its lineup

By Steven Van ·

H3 generates 5-15 second 2K clips with stereo audio and reference-image control, arriving on Runway the same day as several other platforms.

Runway added MiniMax H3 to its lineup, putting MiniMax's new video model alongside every other frontier model already available on the platform. Runway's pitch is simplicity: access it alongside everything else, start creating today, no separate account or API integration required.

One more option in an already deep bench

Runway has built its position around being a multi-model hub rather than betting on a single house model, and H3 slots into that strategy directly. H3 (also called Hailuo 3.0) generates 5 to 15 second clips at 2K resolution with native stereo audio and Omni-Reference control, accepting up to 9 reference images, 3 video clips, and 3 audio clips to hold character, style, and motion consistent across a shot.

Why Runway users get first pick fast

Being first to carry a strong new model matters for a platform whose users are actively comparing outputs across models on the same project. H3's early reputation, matching pricier models like Seedance on quality while undercutting them on cost, makes it a natural addition for creators already switching between models mid-project to find the best result for a given shot.

Landing everywhere at once

Runway's launch happened the same day as H3's arrival on Krea, Magnific, Leonardo, Lovart, and Pika, a rollout pace that shows how quickly a new video model can now reach nearly the entire creative tooling market in a single day.
