V8.1 is now the default model on Midjourney!

Hi everyone, After your testing and feedback, we've updated the default model from V7 to V8.1!
Midjourney has made V8.1 the default model, replacing V7. The vendor describes it as smarter and more coherent, with better adherence to detailed prompts and improved text rendering. Images generate in 4 seconds in SD and 12 seconds in HD, and with HD mode enabled V8.1 renders at twice the size and 4x the resolution of V7 images. Style references, personalization, and aesthetics carry over unchanged from V7, and V7 omni-reference remains available while Midjourney finishes training an updated version for V8.
The announcement also notes that the V8.0 alpha model will be deprecated in two weeks, now that V8.1 is the default.
