Alpha Changelog - 9/23/26

Midjourney's latest alpha changelog covers a batch of changes to alpha.midjourney.com, many of them requested in the alpha feedback channel.

• The Styles sidebar can now show live previews: turning on "Live previews" under the Styles tabs renders your current prompt across styles as you scroll, using fast models. Clicking a style still sends your prompt with that style applied.
• Default parameters are now supported. Go to Settings → Advanced → Your defaults, or click "Set current pills as default" to save whatever is in your prompt bar as your default.
• The Create feed has been redesigned as full-width masonry, with prompts and buttons appearing on hover instead of sitting under every image. Videos play on hover, project feeds get a Grid/List view menu and an in-place Organize mode, Archive now opens the full library across all projects, and a floating "Images ready" pill appears next to Create if a generation finishes while you're on another page.
• Opening an image from Create or Archive and going back now keeps your search terms, results and scroll position instead of resetting to the top.
• The Styles sidebar has new Profiles and Featured tabs, styles now get their own detail pages, and Profile tiles work like moodboard tiles: hover to preview in the prompt bar, click to add.
• The editor adds smooth arrow-key navigation through edit history, error messages for failed reference uploads, an "Edit" label limited to jobs that actually came from the editor, lightbox tooltips, support for v8.1 and v8.2 edit types, and HD edit canvases.
• New projects now title themselves, a project can be deleted alone or with its images (with an undo option), and "Show all" opens every top-level project.
• In the prompt bar, the slider now maps 50% to 228 rather than 1500, triple-click selects the whole prompt including pills, pasted prompts keep their image prompts instead of converting to edit references, and Copy and Remove are back in the profile and moodboard pill menus.
• Fixes include billing tabs that no longer load blank when the portal is slow, invoices opening in the same tab when pop-ups are blocked, sidebar panels that no longer shift the page, and hover and scrolling performance improvements on the new feed.
• Korean, which was in alpha last week, is now live for everyone on Midjourney's main site.
