🤖 Meta releases "Muse" app

Meta released "Muse," a personal AI agent that takes on tasks like sending emails, booking travel, filling out forms, and negotiating on your behalf.
Muse is rolling out in the US on iOS, Android, and Web, with AI glasses support coming soon. It's free for most everyday tasks, with subscription plans for heavier use that Meta AI at $20 or $100 a month (depending on usage).

With Muse, you can now:
Hand off multi-step tasks: Tell Muse what needs to get done and it opens a browser, fills out forms, and keeps working after you close the app, checking back in when something changes or it needs approval.
Turn a goal into a plan: Share a bigger goal and Muse builds a personalized plan, then advances the work on its own, whether that's selling a car for more, lowering a bill, or adjusting a training plan as your schedule shifts.
Shop with a hidden card: Muse checks out with Link by Stripe, which generates a one-time-use card so your real card details stay hidden, and purchases are covered by Link's protections. Shop Pay and 1Password support are coming soon.
Act on details you mentioned once: Muse remembers what matters to you, so it can turn a recipe reel you saved on Instagram into a grocery list or plan a dinner party around your friends' dietary restrictions.
Message it like a person: Talk to Muse in the app or directly in WhatsApp, and connect it to third-party services like Google and Spotify.

IMAGE GENERATION
🤝 OpenAI acquires “Reve's” research team

OpenAI has acquired Reve's research team, bringing the group behind "Reve Image" in-house to continue its work on controllable image generation as part of OpenAI's multimodal research.
Reve is a small Palo Alto research lab. Its first model, "Reve Image 1.0," took the top spot on the Artificial Analysis Image Arena in blind head-to-head tests, ahead of Midjourney, Google's Imagen 3, and Flux 1.1 Pro.
Here's how the deal breaks down:
The researchers go to OpenAI: Members of Reve's AI research team join OpenAI to help lead its multimodal research efforts. Cofounders Taesung Park and Michaël Gharbi, who announced the move, are part of the team joining.
Reve stays independent: The company continues on its own, its existing products including Reve.com stay live, and it remains free to build with the best available models and work across the wider AI ecosystem.
OpenAI puts in money: Reve says the investment gives it the resources to pursue a broader product ambition beyond images as frontier models get more capable.
The team's move was announced the same day OpenAI released "ChatGPT Images 2.5," which both cofounders pointed to as extending OpenAI's lead in image generation.

CODING
🎉 Replit acquires "Test 13"

Replit acquired “Test 13,” a two-person software studio in Iceland whose entire business was built on Replit. CEO Amjad Masad framed it as a new kind of deal for the company and said he expects it to be the first of many.
Test 13 was founded in March 2025 by Viktor Margeirsson and Gunnar Kolbeinsson to test how far a software business could get with AI as leverage, and was one of ten companies worldwide picked for Replit's Ambassador Program soon after.
In 18 months, the two-person team built:
A portfolio of SaaS products: An SMS marketing platform for Icelandic businesses, a pet health records app, and a skills-gap analysis tool that matches employees to training.
An agency at a fraction of local rates: Margeirsson says they offered contracting and agency work at 60 to 80% below the going price in Iceland.
"Autobot," an automated agency: Describe what you want built, answer a few questions, and a first working version is ready in about an hour. It's free to try, and you only pay if you keep it.
By Margeirsson's count, the studio generated more than $700K in that time and was growing at over 400% year over year. Those numbers are self-reported, and deal terms weren't disclosed.
Both founders are joining Replit, and the announcement framed the deal as a sign of a broader shift: projects that once needed large development teams can increasingly be delivered by much smaller teams using AI tools like Replit.

Blu Dot surpasses 2,000% ROAS with self-serve CTV ads
Home furniture brand Blu Dot blew up on CTV with help from Roku Ads Manager. Here’s how:
After a test campaign reached 211,000 households and achieved 1,010% ROAS, the brand went all in to promote its annual sales event. It removed age and income constraints to expand reach and shifted budget to custom audiences and retargeting, where intent was strongest.
The results speak for themselves. As Blu Dot increased their investment by 10x, ROAS jumped to 2,308% and more page-view conversions surpassed 50,000.
“For CTV campaigns, Roku has been a top performer,” said Claire Folkestad, Paid Media Strategist, Blu Dot. “Comping to our other platforms, we have seen really strong ROAS… and highly efficient CPMs, lower than any other CTV partner we've worked with.”
Using Roku Ads Manager, the campaign moved from a pilot to a permanent performance engine for the brand.
