Manus adds a preferred browser for web tasks across devices

By Steven Van ·

Users authorize one signed-in Chrome browser as default, so recurring Browser Operator tasks reuse that session from any device.

Manus's Browser Operator can now use a preferred browser for web tasks instead of whatever browser is on the current device. You authorize one Chrome browser, keep it signed in to the accounts, extensions and network access a task needs, and set it as the default in My Browser settings.

Once set, Manus uses that browser's Chrome session for web tasks started from any device logged into the same Manus account, so recurring checks return to the same signed-in session instead of needing setup repeated on each machine. The preferred browser can live on a main computer or a separate machine kept online for the purpose, such as a Mac mini, and Manus can browse from it while you keep working on your current device. If the preferred browser goes offline, Manus falls back to another authorized browser.
