Magnific's plugin brings native vector generation to Illustrator

Free and available now, two weeks after the Photoshop plugin, with the shared asset feed and Freepik's 250M+ stock library built in.
Magnific keeps moving into Adobe's house. Two weeks after shipping its Photoshop plugin, the Magnific Plugin is now on Adobe Illustrator, free to install and available now. The headline capability is native to the host app: generate vectors, not just raster images, directly inside the tool vector designers live in.
What's in the panel
The plugin brings three layers of Magnific into Illustrator. Generation covers vectors, images, and mockups, prompt in the panel, result on the artboard. Assets come along too: your team's Magnific feed and the full stock library (the former Freepik's 250M+ asset catalog) are browsable without leaving the document. And the finishing tools work on-canvas: relight a composition, upscale up to 16x with the upscaler that made Magnific's name, and retouch in place.
Vectors are the real story
AI generation inside Photoshop is crowded territory; Illustrator is not. Vector output remains one of generative AI's weakest formats, most "vector" generators produce traced rasters, so a panel that generates usable vector material where logos, icons, and brand systems actually get built addresses a real gap. Combined with the stock library's vector catalog, Illustrator users get both generation and search for the format they need in one panel.
Meet designers where they are
The plugin strategy is Magnific hedging its own platform bet: some designers will move their workflow to Magnific's web tools and Spaces, but many never will, and the plugins bring Magnific to them instead. It mirrors the distribution logic of the company's MCP server and Flows, be present in every workflow, whatever the host. With Photoshop and Illustrator covered in the same month, the obvious question is which Creative Cloud app gets the panel next.
Install it
The Illustrator plugin is free and available now. If your team already runs on Magnific, the shared feed in the panel is the sleeper feature, generated assets flow between web, Photoshop, and Illustrator without exports.
