Luma Shot Coverage turns one video take into new camera angles

By Steven Van ·

Upload one short take and Luma re-shoots the same action as performance-led, action-led or spatial-led angles you can cut together in the edit.

Luma AI launched Shot Coverage on October 15, a tool that turns one video shot into more moving angles you can cut with. You upload a single short take, and the same action comes back re-shot from new camera positions.

There are three coverage types, and you can pick up to all three. Performance-led angles follow the actors, action-led angles go in tight on hands and props, and spatial-led angles pull back to show the room. Each type you pick comes back as its own take, and you can set the output resolution and choose whether the clips include sound.

Luma’s product page says the new angles are generated with Seedance, ByteDance’s video model, which Luma has offered in its app since August. Luma has not published a price for Shot Coverage.
