Lovable now imports existing websites and projects

By Steven Van ·

Paste a URL or upload a ZIP, and the first import is free until a working preview, though backends, sign-in, and passwords stay behind.

Lovable now imports an existing website or project. Paste a URL to rebuild the visible page, or upload a ZIP from Replit, Manus, Bolt, Base44, v0, or any other tool. It answers tools like Replit’s import.

Official Lovable announcement demo.

Website import rebuilds text, images, fonts, colors, and layout, but not CMS, backend, sign-in, or forms. Copy only a site you own or have permission to copy. Database and user exports are separate for assisted migration. Leave secrets and .env files out of the ZIP. Service keys may be requested. Passwords and sessions do not transfer. The original site or app is unchanged until you switch the domain.

Add hosting, a custom domain, SEO, analytics, payments, ads, content, and email. The first import is free until a working preview, once per account and workspace, shared across both types. Standard credits apply. A Free badge shows coverage. Choose +, then Import project to Lovable.
