Loops for product management
Loops now edit Linear documents, post Slack updates, and trigger off project, initiative, and cycle changes, with credits extended through December 31.
Loops, Linear's recurring agent workflows for teams, now react to more of what happens across a workspace and can follow through on the busywork that used to fall through the cracks. Where a loop previously only created issues or updated projects, it can now edit documents and post to Slack as well. When a project's target date changes, for example, a loop can update the launch plan and post a Slack message explaining what changed, why, and who needs to act.
- New triggers: project and initiative changes to status, ownership, target dates, milestones, membership, and labels, plus new updates and comments; cycles being created, started, or completed; and issue changes to status, priority, assignee, cycle, project, or labels.
- Loops can now edit Linear documents, so when scope or timing changes, a loop can update the relevant document to keep plans aligned.
- A loop can draft and post tailored Slack updates using context from Linear and connected tools.
- Each loop run starts a conversation with Linear Agent, which can be continued afterward to review the work, add context, or direct what happens next.
Introductory Loops credits have been extended through December 31, giving teams more time to test Loops on their own workflows. See the announcement for details.
