Krita 5.3.4 Released!

Krita 5.3.4 and 6.0.4 are out, with bugfixes and improvements across the board. The headline change is video export on Android: the app can now render animations and export timelapses directly from the recorder.

• Krita's icons continue to be refined by Arkady Flury.
• The GIMP XCF file import plugin has been removed. It relied on a third-party library that is no longer maintained and had multiple security issues.
• The comic manager plugin received fixes for memory leaks and improved epub export.
• Numerous crash fixes, including a rare crash creating a new image on Windows, a crash from an invalid Python plugin action path, a crash with some fonts, and a crash when using the "First Frame" shortcut on a file with a linked audio track.
• The recorder no longer interrupts tool use, and several Android issues around adding resource bundles and resources are fixed.

Krita's team considers 5.3.4 suitable for production work. 6.0.4, which involves the ongoing move from Qt5 to Qt6, remains more experimental. The minimum supported macOS version for 5.3.4 has risen from Mojave (10.14) to Catalina (10.15), and 32-bit Windows builds are no longer produced.
