Ideogram 4.5 focuses on precise, repeatable image edits
By Steven Van ·
Ideogram says its new model keeps images stable across multiple edits, with controls for color, lighting, products, interiors, restoration, and text.
Ideogram 4.5 is built for a common editing problem: asking an image model to change one detail can also shift colors, textures, or the layout elsewhere. Ideogram says its new model reduces that drift, so creators can make several edits in sequence while preserving the parts they want to keep.

Ideogram’s launch page shows a side-by-side video of 14 successive edits using the same prompts on Ideogram 4.5 and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst. Ideogram also compares its results with Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2. These are the company’s own demonstrations, not an independent benchmark.
What it can edit
The examples cover recoloring and relighting objects, changing a product’s setting while retaining its shape, restoring old photos in stages, and redesigning rooms one element at a time. The model can also edit stylized lettering or translate text while keeping the surrounding design. A precise-edit API supports masks and reference images for more controlled changes.
Ideogram says 4.5 is available in its app and API, as well as through launch partners. It says open weights are coming soon. See the API documentation for implementation details.
