HyperFrames v0.8.201

By Steven Van ·

HyperFrames 0.8.201 fixes a stale history lock in Studio, speeds up Mac video decoding in renders, and adds timeline zoom and a new lint check.

Studio no longer gets stuck on a leftover history lock, so chat and edits keep working after a restart. HyperFrames v0.8.201 also speeds up video decoding for renders on a Mac and keeps hidden clips hidden in preview and render. The linked commit is a docs change; the release note it belongs to lists the changes below.

New

  • Studio: the timeline can zoom to the selected clips.
  • Lint: flags CSS rules that select on the inline style attribute.

Fixes

  • Studio Server: takes over a history lock whose pid now belongs to another process.
  • Core: pressing play puts a sped-up or looping video at the right moment in one seek.
  • Core: a script's hidden clip stays hidden after a jump or a re-entry.
  • Core: composition startup error stacks are preserved.
  • CLI: cloud render --dry-run stops reading media it cannot match and logs progress to stderr.
  • CLI: media-treatment and normalize-audio find clips inside mounted scenes.
  • CLI: snapshot --describe is now opt-in.
  • CLI: the package no longer ships an env var name that endpoint scanners flag.
  • CLI: a contraction counts as one word in line_unread.
  • CLI: snapshot --against survives a sharp that cannot load.

Docs

The linked commit retitles the media guides by the task people search for. The export guide is now "Render a video to MP4", and the standalone color grading guide is removed, with its URL redirecting to the color section of the media effects guide.
