HyperFrames v0.8.193
By Steven Van ·
HyperFrames v0.8.193 speeds up cloud renders of cut-heavy edits and restores audio rendering on FFmpeg 4.4, alongside fixes for Windows, Studio and the CLI.
Cloud renders of long, cut-heavy edits now finish several times faster at the same or lower cost, according to the v0.8.193 release of HyperFrames. The release also fixes audio renders on FFmpeg 4.4 and includes a batch of CLI, Studio and engine fixes.
Fixes
- Audio on FFmpeg 4.4: audio renders work again. FFmpeg 4.4 has no setts duration option, which broke the audio encode.
- CLI: each start now sweeps the running markers left by CLIs that are gone.
- Snapshot: it rejects a negative --at and builds its sheet from its own frames. It also seeks correctly into a HEVC cut whose index lands a keyframe early.
- Studio server: a history restore refuses to remove every tracked file.
- Windows: Dawn's DXC is disabled so WebGPU requestDevice succeeds, and renames now ride out file locks instead of failing the render.
- Studio memory: a scene swap no longer keeps the previous preview window in memory.
- Color grading: a new WebGL context is built when a lost one is never restored.
- Producer: a render's page-error count now includes errors seen by the capture workers.
Font documentation
The linked commit updates the skills documentation on fonts. The bundled set only has Latin text at a few weights per family (Inter: 400, 700 and 900). The compiler still fetches each bundled family from Google Fonts for other weights and scripts, and caches the result in ~/.cache/hyperframes/fonts.
