HyperFrames v0.8.167
By Steven Van ·
Release 0.8.167 makes previews of long projects lighter and keeps bundling from blocking the host app, plus a fix for page-load timeouts on busy machines.
Long projects should now preview more smoothly in HyperFrames. The preview runtime's work follows what is playing, not the total number of clips in the film. Bundling a project also no longer freezes the app that runs it. The changes are in v0.8.167.
Preview performance
- Preview runtime scales with what plays, not with the film's clip count.
- A preview's composition scripts give the page a turn every 50 ms, instead of running as one long task.
- A clip inside a later scene is held at 0 until it is due.
- Lint strips stylesheet comments once per canvas zoom scan.
Fixes
- Core: bundling a project no longer blocks the host's thread on esbuild.
- CLI: page loads stop timing out while Chrome warms up on a busy machine.
The release also includes an internal change to a CLI caption image test, which now checks the close itself instead of a reusable file number.
