HyperFrames v0.8.145

By Steven Van ·

Studio gains GPU encoding, the npm producer package shrinks, and fixes address stalled exports and previews.

Studio exports can now encode on the GPU in HyperFrames v0.8.145, matching the GPU option available through the render command. The October 10 release also reduces the producer package’s size and fixes stalled exports and previews.

Export and preview fixes

Long exports with many clips no longer stall at 90% or hide a timeout. In Studio, a stalled font or asset no longer leaves the preview empty or causes reloads to be dropped. Graded pictures also retain their grading in sandboxed players.

Smaller producer package

The producer package on npm now ships only its own code, without source maps, making it a fraction of its previous size. The Kubernetes chunk-runner example image also installs and loads the producer again.

CLI and rendering fixes

  • Running keyframes with the shot option on a file in compositions/ now mounts the scene in its project.
  • Skill scripts work through a symlinked skills directory, and agents keep long renders alive.
  • The audio duration probe reads to the end on Windows.
  • Studio Server’s public proxy cache path now names boxed preview copies too. Failed saves report their actual error when a later file was never written.
