HeyGen's open-source HTML-to-video framework HyperFrames crossed 50,000 GitHub stars on September 14, 2026, with growth accelerating after GPT-6 Astra shipped.
HyperFrames, the open-source HTML-to-video framework from HeyGen, passed 50,000 GitHub stars on September 14, 2026, according to a post by HeyGen CEO Joshua Xu.
Xu said the star count went straight up right after GPT-6 Astra shipped, and that better models make editing video with code and HTML far more capable. HyperFrames lets an agent write HTML, CSS, and JavaScript compositions and render them deterministically to MP4, so stronger coding models translate directly into better videos.
- The repo at github.com/heygen-com/hyperframes crossed 50,000 stars on September 14, 2026.
- The sharp rise in stars followed the release of GPT-6 Astra, per Xu.
- HyperFrames is open source, and the GitHub page describes it as: write HTML, render video, built for agents.
- Xu suggests sending your coding agent the repo link and asking it to make you a video.
