Higgsfield opens a film school taught by its Cannes directors

Two free interactive courses on higgsfield.ai teach AI filmmaking, with top graduates eligible for a 100,000-credit grant.
Higgsfield opened a film school. Higgsfield Academy launched with a mission statement aimed at the whole AI video scene, learn to make movies, not just generations, and unusual credentials behind it: the directors of Hell Grind, Higgsfield's 95-minute AI feature screened at Cannes, are opening their playbook as fully interactive courses.
The curriculum
The academy launches with two tracks. Getting Started with Cinema Studio is the beginner course: 12 lessons in 26 minutes, with 8 free generations bundled so you practice on the real tool as you learn. The AI Filmmaking Pipeline goes deeper, 22 lessons covering the full workflow, 50+ free generations, and a certificate at the end. The interactive format is the differentiator: instead of watching someone else's screen, you generate alongside the lesson.
Credentials that actually mean something
AI filmmaking education is mostly YouTube tutorials by people whose longest work is ninety seconds. A team that shipped a 95-minute feature good enough to screen at Cannes has solved the problems that only appear at length, character and style consistency across hundreds of shots, pacing, coverage, pipeline management, and that's precisely the playbook worth opening. The "movies, not just generations" line is a direct shot at where most AI video skill currently plateaus.
Free courses, funded graduates
The economics follow the pattern of this month's creator investments (invideo's research grants, Wonder Studios' talent roster): the courses are free, and standouts get funded. Complete the courses, submit work, and the Higgsfield Filmmaker Grant awards 100,000 credits for talent, a real production budget on the platform. The funnel is transparent, education creates skilled users, grants keep the best ones, and it's a good trade for both sides: the announcement's claim that joining puts you ahead of 99% of the industry is marketing, but the gap between prompt-typers and pipeline-builders is real.
