The Brief: September 2026
By Steven Van ·
Harvey adds user-level memory, agentic Vault search, 150+ new research sources, and Word redlining and iManage integrations.
Harvey's Harvey's September releases focus on personalization, faster document review, and broader source coverage, according to the company's September Brief.
Personalization
- Memory: tell Harvey a preference once, such as a drafting style or negotiating posture, and it applies that preference automatically across the platform.
- Template Library: generate documents, client decks, and memos in a team's branded format, and save the templates to reuse.
- Custom Agents in Word: run custom agents directly in Word for consistent results across agreements and contracts.
Document review
- Agentic Vault Search: ask a question across an entire data room or corpus of files; Harvey finds the relevant documents itself and cites the specific pages behind its answer.
- Review Table Agent Actions: describe a change, such as bulk editing cells, auto-grouping rows, or importing document metadata, and Harvey restructures the review table directly.
- New Review Table Creation Flow: describe the columns needed in plain language and Harvey builds the table.
- Review Table Homepage: a single page listing every table a user has built or been shared, with filters, sorting, and search.
Research and redlining
- Enhanced Multi-Source Queries: attach up to five knowledge sources in a single query, useful for cross-border questions.
- More than 150 new legal research sources were added this month, including content from Chile and Tirant lo Blanch.
- In the Harvey for Word add-in, Alternate Suggestions lets users compare clause options side by side on the suggestion card before applying one.
- Apply Suggestions From History lets users reopen an earlier thread and apply suggestions they passed over the first time.
Integrations and administration
- iManage Search: search iManage content by describing what's needed, with answers cited back to the source documents, in the web app or Word add-in.
- Client Matter Enhancements: assign a client matter to a Playbook, search matters by name or description instead of number, and require lawyers to acknowledge a client's AI policy before working on the matter.
- User Attribute Sync via SCIM: automatically sync job title, practice area, and location from Entra ID or Okta into Command Center.
