Harvey published its August Brief, covering new admin controls, deeper integrations with tools firms already use, added model options, and new local sources and languages.
Admin controls
- Command Center gives Innovation leads and Legal Ops admins adoption data by practice group, peer benchmarking, and leadership-ready reports.
- Ethical Walls, powered by Intapp automatically syncs and enforces ethical walls so attorneys only access matters they are authorised to work on.
- Per Party Access Levels let admins configure view, edit, or run permissions separately for each organisation in a Shared Space.
- A new Spaces Activity Feed shows access across Shared Spaces with a timestamped audit log, for access reviews and conflict investigations.
- A Vault Recycle Bin gives workspace admins a 30-day window to recover vaults removed by a user or a retention policy.
Working in existing tools
- The updated Harvey for Outlook drafts replies grounded in a matter, searches a user's full inbox, and prioritises emails that need attention.
- An Aderant integration generates draft billing narratives from work done in Harvey, via Aderant's iTimekeep.
- Notepad, Harvey's draft editor, now routes requests to the right drafting experience and supports multiple drafts, a dedicated email UI, one-click conversion to Word, and saving to Vault.
- Review table exports now get email notifications and a dedicated view for past exports.
- Cell Lock in review tables freezes a finalised answer so it cannot be edited, re-run, or overwritten, even if the column is re-run.
- Playbook reviews can now run start to finish in the web app, without switching to the Word Add-In, and a new redline-only mode focuses on redlines and changes.
- The mobile app adds multi-source query support and audio transcription, turning a recorded call or meeting into a speaker-labelled transcript that can be saved to a vault or analysed immediately.
New models
- Harvey now supports Mistral as a model provider, starting with Mistral Medium 3.5.
- Opus 5 is selectable across the platform.
- Fable 5 is available on an opt-in basis for complex, multi-step work such as drafting and reviewing redlines.
Local sources and languages
- DeepL now powers translation workflows in the web app and Word Add-In.
- Tirant lo Blanch content for Spain and Mexico is directly accessible in Harvey.
- The Otto Schmidt knowledge source answers German business law, tax, and accounting questions.
- Wolters Kluwer US content for federal and state statutes, regulations, and legislative history is now freely accessible in Harvey's United States research.
