Introducing Agentic Search for Your Document Systems

Harvey's agentic search covers iManage, SharePoint and Google Drive, works in Assistant and the Word add-in, and respects each user's existing permissions.
Lawyers can now search connected document systems in plain language, without knowing a filename, folder or the right search terms. Harvey has added agentic search across iManage, SharePoint and Google Drive. Harvey plans the search parameters itself, so no files need to be selected first.
Harvey's example is a lawyer preparing an acquisition agreement who asks for agreements with an explicit anti-sandbagging clause. Results come back with citations linked to the source files, so the language can be reviewed in the context of each agreement. When more results are available, Harvey may pause for the lawyer to review what it has found. It then narrows the search or keeps going, and brings the relevant documents into the thread.
- Agentic search is available in Harvey Assistant and the Harvey for Word Add-in.
- Searches can be limited to a specific site, folder or drive.
- Results can be filtered by document author, with help choosing the right person when names match.
- A phrase in quotation marks, such as "anti-sandbagging", finds an exact match.
Existing access controls still apply. Harvey uses each person's permissions in the connected system, so documents they cannot open there do not appear in their results.
The feature is available now. Harvey asks customers to talk to their Harvey representative about turning it on for their workspace.
