Delegate File Search and Organization to Harvey
Agentic Vault Search is live for all Harvey customers, while Agentic Vault Organization is rolling out through an Early Access program.
Harvey has added two agent features to Vault, its document storage and bulk-analysis tool for legal teams: Agentic Vault Search and Agentic Vault Organization.
- Agentic Vault Search finds relevant documents without being told which folder or file name to look in. Instead it reads signals like folder placement, the client's naming conventions, and who uploaded a file, the same cues an associate would use going through a data room. Attach a full Vault to a query, or work in a Space with vaults already attached, and the agent locates the right files itself. It runs within the user's existing Vault permissions and ethical walls, and every file it touches is logged in the workspace's audit trail. Agentic Vault Search is generally available now.
- Agentic Vault Organization restructures a Vault from a plain-language instruction, such as organizing files into folders by counterparty and agreement type, or renaming files in a folder to a set pattern. Harvey proposes a plan and shows what it intends to change before doing anything, so it can be confirmed or adjusted first, and the most recent set of changes can be undone. The agent can move, rename, and tag files, but does not edit file content and never runs changes without confirmation. Agentic Vault Organization is in Early Access; customers can reach out to their Harvey representative to be added.
Harvey points to M&A and diligence teams working in large data rooms, litigation teams working through discovery productions, and any practice group managing a large or complex Vault as the intended users. Details are in Harvey's announcement.
