Contract Review Agents That Turn Past Deals Into Better Outcomes
Contract Review Agents build on a legal team's own precedents and unwritten judgment, and are joining early access via account teams.
Harvey has launched Contract Review Agents, which let in-house legal teams build a custom agent from their own executed contracts, negotiation guidelines, and playbooks. A guided, agent-led interview also captures judgment that was never written down, such as acceptable fallback ranges or which clauses always escalate.
- Agents can be built for NDAs, MSAs, DPAs, and other contract types, and with Memory they also apply individual lawyers' preferences, like a light touch on tracked changes.
- Each redlined contract gets a first-pass review with recommended edits, reasoning, and citations, plus precedent benchmarking that compares a counterparty's proposal against terms the team has previously accepted in executed contracts, shown clause by clause.
- The agent can also flag when its standards have fallen behind recent negotiated outcomes, for example if the last five NDAs all accepted a term it keeps flagging, and recommend an updated standard.
Access is currently limited to an early access waitlist, available by contacting a Harvey account team.
