Perplexity can now use Graphify
By Steven Van ·
Computer users can install the skill from the marketplace, and Perplexity is covering /graphify tasks through October 31, up to 5,000 credits each.
The Graphify skill is now live in the Perplexity Computer skills marketplace, open to every Computer user. Typing /graphify and pasting a link to a public GitHub repository makes Computer map the codebase into a knowledge graph.
How the skill works
Graphify turns a repository into a code knowledge graph. Functions, classes and files are nodes, and calls and imports are the edges between them. Each edge keeps its direction, the type of link, how confident Graphify is in it, and the file and line it came from. When Computer explains how a request moves through a system, it can point to where in the code that happens.
Computer runs the open-source Graphify engine and does the reading with its own model. Nothing needs to be installed locally.
A test run on Graphify's own repo
Graphify gave Computer one line asking it to map its own GitHub repository. Computer cloned the repo, picked the 105 files holding the code and architecture docs, and returned a map about five minutes later. It had 4,022 nodes, 10,079 directed edges and 192 communities of closely linked code.
- The two most connected functions were _read_text() with 270 links and _make_id() with 234, both in extractors/base.py.
- dispatch_command() in cli.py was identified as the command hub, calling 127 functions.
- Computer matched each pipeline step (detect, extract, build, cluster, analyze, report, export) to the function that does it.
- It found where the architecture doc pointed to the wrong file for the HTML exporter.
Setup and pricing
To try it, open Plugins in Perplexity, go to Skills, install Graphify, then type /graphify in Computer and paste a GitHub link. Perplexity is making tasks that use /graphify free through October 31, 2026, up to 5,000 credits per Computer user.
The engine is also open source on GitHub and works in Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI and other supported assistants. Graphify Cloud is available for a graph shared across a team. Details are in the original announcement.
