Granola adds free unlimited voice typing on Mac

By Steven Van ·

The post says voice typing is unlimited and free in any app. Mac docs require Granola to stay open.

On October 29, Granola posted that it now does voice typing. The post says the word count is unlimited, it is free, and it can type for you in any app, alongside the meeting notes Granola already writes.

Granola's dictation troubleshooting is written for the Mac. Dictation stops if you quit Granola, and the default shortcut in that guide is the fn key. While that shortcut is on, Granola turns off the macOS globe-key action, such as the emoji picker, and restores it if you turn dictation off or change the shortcut.

The help page checked for this article does not say the feature is on iOS or Windows, and it does not repeat the "unlimited" or "free" claims. Those come from Granola's post.
