Granola launches a native Android app

Granola, the AI notepad built for people living in back-to-back meetings, just closed one of the biggest gaps in its lineup: on July 1, 2026 it launched a native Android app. After years of Mac, Windows, and iOS support, Android users can finally take notes anywhere and on the go — whether that's a walking meeting, a conference hallway chat, or a coffee catchup.
Note-taking that travels with you
The headline of the Android release is mobility. Not every meeting happens at a desk in front of a laptop, and that's exactly the scenario Granola for Android is built for. Open the app, tap start, and Granola instantly begins transcribing in the background while you stay present in the conversation. It captures Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, and Huddles calls, but it also shines for in-person meetings where pulling out a laptop would be awkward or rude.
One-tap capture and calendar sync
The Android app carries over the workflow that made Granola popular on desktop. It syncs with your Google Calendar and automatically detects upcoming meetings, so a single tap launches a fresh note for the right event. When the meeting ends, Granola turns the audio and your quick jottings into a clean, shareable summary complete with highlights, decisions, and action items. Because your own notes are layered onto the AI output, the result reads like your voice rather than a generic transcript bot.
Chat with your notes on the phone
Beyond capture, the mobile app lets you chat with your notes to surface answers and uncover insights after the fact. Forgot what someone committed to on last week's standup? Ask Granola.
