Five Google Photos Updates for Summer Memories

By Steven Van ·

Gemini Spark editing, Wardrobe, Moods filters, new Remix templates and an updated markup tool roll out separately by plan, device and region.

Google Photos is rolling out five updates for organizing and editing photos, each tied to a different plan, device, or region, according to Google.

  • Photos in Gemini Spark lets users select, edit, and share photos with a single prompt. It's available to eligible Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the U.S.
  • Wardrobe catalogs the clothing in a user's photos and lets them virtually style and try on outfits. It's now available to eligible Android and iOS users in the U.S., India, and Brazil.
  • Moods applies vintage-inspired edits, such as 35mm film and 2000s digicam looks, that adapt to each photo. It's rolling out on Android globally.
  • Fifteen new Remix templates turn photos into red carpet shots, birthday cards, and photo booth strips. They're available on Android and iOS in select countries, for users 18 and older.
  • The markup tool adds a redact pen for blurring sensitive information, thickness sliders for sketches, and new fonts. It's rolling out on Android globally.
