Gemini adds study notebooks with quizzes and adaptive lesson plans

The feature syncs with NotebookLM, comes to Google Classroom, and will offer free Princeton Review ACT and GRE practice tests.
Gemini is getting a new study space called study notebooks: students type a prompt or upload class materials, take a diagnostic quiz, and get a plan of bite-sized, interactive lessons that update automatically as they complete quizzes or add new material. The notebooks also sync with NotebookLM, so students can keep asking questions about their course materials there and generate flashcards and infographics.
Google is also partnering with The Princeton Review to add no-cost, full-length ACT and GRE practice tests in Gemini in the coming weeks, plus practice tests for the Akira ENEM for students in Brazil. Each practice test gives a performance breakdown by topic, and study notebooks already support the SAT. Separately, Gemini is coming to Google Classroom, where students can build a study guide, take a quiz, or use Guided Learning, and teachers will soon be able to assign a study notebook grounded in specific class materials.
Study notebooks are rolling out now to personal accounts globally for users 18 and older, with school-issued accounts (including under-18 users) following in the coming weeks. It's desktop-only for now, with mobile support planned for later in the summer.
