Google AI plans add voice input, a Google Pics image tool, Sheets canvas mini-apps, a browser-linked Gemini Spark, and free student access.
Google has added a set of updates to its AI plans this fall, covering Gemini and several Workspace apps, detailed in a blog post.
- Voice input in Gmail, Docs, and Keep, for drafting, searching your inbox, and capturing notes. Available with AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra in Gmail and Keep, and AI Pro and Ultra in Docs.
- Google Pics, a new Workspace tool for designing posters, producing social media posts, and editing digital illustrations. Available with AI Pro and Ultra.
- Sheets canvas, which turns a spreadsheet into a custom, interactive "mini-app" from a simple prompt. Available with AI Pro and Ultra.
- Gemini Spark, now connected to Google Chrome and Google Photos, which can handle web errands, edit photos, or curate albums. Available with AI Pro and Ultra in the U.S.
- A free year of a Google AI plan for eligible college students around the world.
