Gemini 3.8 Flash is Google's third Flash-tier release in six weeks, following 3.7 Flash three weeks ago. It brings gains over 3.7 Flash in software engineering, agentic tasks, and multi-step reasoning, at the same introductory price: $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens through 31 December 2026, after which pricing rises to $1.50 and $7.50.
The model is rolling out in the Gemini app, AI Mode in Google Search, and Gemini in Google Sheets for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, and to developers through Google Antigravity, the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, Android Studio, and Stitch.
Google also announced Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, a variant built for vulnerability detection and automated patching. It is not broadly available: access is limited to trusted defenders, government authorities, critical infrastructure operators, and software maintainers, through Google's new Fairwind Program.
