Google splits Gemini TTS into a fidelity-focused Flash model and a faster Flash-Lite, both with a new Voices endpoint.
Google has released two new text-to-speech models for the Gemini API: Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS and Flash-Lite TTS. Flash is built for voice fidelity and nuanced delivery, while Flash-Lite targets faster, higher-volume generation.
Both are available now through the Gemini API and in Google AI Studio, alongside a new Voices endpoint and voice design options, according to the announcement.
