Meta API endpoints updated for Actions blob storage

By Steven Van ·

Organizations that allow individual Actions blob storage hosts must add the new ranges to avoid interruptions to job summaries and logs.

GitHub has added new blob storage endpoints for Actions on github.com, and the meta API now lists them. The change is part of GitHub's ongoing work to improve capacity and reliability.

Hosts to allow

Organizations that use a network allowlist for GitHub Actions blob storage should review their network access settings and allow the following new hosts (both ranges are inclusive):

  • productionresultssa30.blob.core.windows.net through productionresultssa49.blob.core.windows.net
  • productionresultssa100.blob.core.windows.net through productionresultssa199.blob.core.windows.net

Who needs to act

If an allowlist already includes productionresultssa*.blob.core.windows.net, no changes are needed for these additions. Organizations that allow individual hosts need to add the new ones to avoid interruptions to job summaries and logs.

Getting the current list

The current endpoint list can be retrieved through the REST API endpoints for meta data. GitHub's IP addresses documentation has guidance on allowlisting GitHub traffic.
