GitHub Enterprise Server 3.22 is now generally available
Copilot CLI now works in air-gapped GHES environments, and Enterprise Teams graduates to general availability.
The self-hosted version of GitHub reaches version 3.22, moving two preview features to general availability and adding new controls for pull request reviews and secret scanning.
- Copilot CLI can now be configured to work with GitHub Enterprise Server in disconnected or air-gapped environments without connectivity to GitHub Cloud. Administrators set up a model provider once, and end users across the enterprise can then use Copilot CLI with their GHES credentials. This is a technical preview.
- Enterprise Teams, previously in public preview, is now generally available, letting enterprise owners manage user access across organizations and repositories from a single, centralized team structure.
- Security analysts can sort secret scanning push protection bypass requests and alert dismissal requests by date, ascending or descending, from the filter bar at the repository, organization, and enterprise levels.
- Repository rulesets now support bypassing by individual users, so a service account can be added to a bypass list without a dedicated role or team.
- A required reviewers rule can be added to a repository ruleset, targeting specific branches, files, or folders, and setting a minimum number of required reviews per team, alongside CODEOWNERS.
- The issue sidebar now shows a Latest release or Pre-release badge when a linked pull request has been included in a release.
