Audit GitHub Code Quality finding dismissals and reopenings
By Steven Van ·
The events are available on GitHub Team and Enterprise Cloud, including enterprises with data residency.
Organization and enterprise audit logs now record who manually dismissed or reopened GitHub Code Quality findings, along with when the action happened and which findings it affected.
Two new audit events
- repo.code_quality_findings_dismissed records the dismissal of one or more backlog findings.
- repo.code_quality_findings_reopened records the reopening of one or more backlog findings.
Each event includes the requester, time, repository, rule, and the identifiers and count of affected findings.
Reviewing activity
Repositories with Code Quality enabled need no additional setup. Users with access to the organization or enterprise audit log can filter by the new action names. Organization owners can use the action qualifier described in the audit log documentation. GitHub Enterprise Cloud users can also retrieve these events through the audit log API.
Availability
The update is generally available on GitHub Team and GitHub Enterprise Cloud, including enterprises with data residency. It is not available on GitHub Enterprise Server.
