Framer's AI Agent now handles A11Y, overlays and page effects

Two fast models, GPT 5.6 Terra and Luna, are also half price through August 14.
Framer's July Update focuses on the two things most Framer users touch every day: the AI Agent and the Canvas. Both get meaningfully more capable, and the update bundles in a pricing incentive to get people testing the expanded Agent right away.
The Agent can build more of the page
The Agent now supports Page Effects, accessibility (A11Y) attributes, richer overlays, CMS video, text shadows, and draggable interactions, closing gaps where a prompt-built page used to need manual follow-up work to reach production quality. Overlays specifically gained safe-area handling and backdrop transitions, and the Agent got better at managing longer conversations and variables without losing context. Framer also added file downloads and code-change tracking directly in chat summaries, plus clearer visibility into token usage, useful for anyone running longer, more complex build sessions.
Canvas gets faster and more forgiving
On the design side, vector icons now support reset overrides and external icon-set actions, stack inference on design pages is smarter, and components load faster after code changes, a common friction point when iterating between the Agent and manual edits. Grouped shape SVGs shrank by 50%, and Figma import compatibility improved, which matters for teams bringing existing design systems into Framer rather than starting from a blank canvas.
A push to try it: fast models at half price
Framer is discounting two of its fast Agent models, GPT 5.6 Terra and Luna, by 50% through August 14. Pairing a capability upgrade with a limited-time price cut is a direct nudge to get users testing the expanded feature set on real projects rather than letting the update sit unused.
