Google's Flow Music turns Spaces into a full creation studio

By Steven Van ·

The vibe-coding tool now generates and edits songs, splits stems, and creates images, lyrics and video in one place.

Google's Flow Music turned Spaces from a music-app builder into a full creation studio. Spaces, its vibe-coding tool for building custom instruments and music apps, got a big upgrade, and now you can do it all in one place: generate and edit songs (cover, replace, extend), split stems, generate images, generate lyrics, and generate videos.

From building apps to making everything

Spaces began as a place to vibe-code music tools, describe an instrument or app and build it. This upgrade widens it into an end-to-end creative surface. The song tools alone are substantial: generate a track, then cover it, replace parts, or extend it, the iterative moves musicians actually make. Stem splitting turns any track into its component parts for remixing or isolation. That's a real production toolkit, not a toy.

Beyond audio, into the whole package

The genuinely expansive part is that Spaces now generates images, lyrics, and video too. Music doesn't ship alone anymore, a release needs cover art, lyric sheets, and a music video to travel on social. Putting all of that in the same canvas as the song means an artist can go from a musical idea to a full, postable package without leaving the tool or stitching five apps together. For independent creators especially, that consolidation is the point.

Flow Music's steady build-out

The upgrade continues a busy stretch for Flow Music, beat and instrumental uploads, then this. The trajectory is clear: from prompt-only song generation toward a serious, all-in-one studio where the whole creative bundle, audio, visuals, text, video, lives together. It also plays to Google's multi-modal strength, one platform that can generate across every medium a music release needs.

Try it

The upgraded Spaces is live in Flow Music now. The test that shows its range: take one song idea all the way through, generate and refine the track, split a stem, then make the cover art, lyrics, and a video, and see how much of a release you can assemble without ever switching tools.
