Figma's Plugin API now supports annotations and measurements, giving plugins access to the same markup tools designers use to document specs. Component descriptions can also carry rich text formatting through the API, and the API adds support for advanced prototyping features.

The changes are part of a broader update to Figma's Figma Plugin and REST APIs, aimed at plugin developers building on top of the platform.
