We’ve made grids more responsive with new ways to size and adapt columns and rows, letting your content drive your layout.

Figma has added new sizing options for grids, letting columns and rows adapt to fit their content rather than sticking to fixed dimensions. Grids can now use hug and fractional units, so layouts respond to what's inside them instead of the other way around.

The change is part of ongoing updates to Figma's grid system, aimed at making layouts more responsive. Full details are in the release notes.
