Figma adds vector eraser, paint bucket, and MCP skills at Config 2026

Desktop app, auto layout, text wrap, and agent tooling all get updates, including admin SSO for the Figma MCP server.

Figma's June roundup for Config 2026 covers a spread of updates across the desktop app, vector editing, auto layout, and its agent tools, published as part of Figma's ongoing release notes.

On the desktop app (macOS and Windows), the agent chat panel can now open into its own window, so it stays visible while switching tabs or tools.
Vector editing gets an eraser and a drag-to-fill paint bucket: erase paths directly to clean up or reshape artwork, or drag a colour or gradient to recolour multiple regions at once. Shift+E switches to the eraser in vector edit mode or Draw mode.
Enterprise and Organization admins can now manage the Figma MCP server's connection to AI agents like Claude through their identity provider (for example Okta), removing the need for individual sign-in and consent prompts. This is now generally available.
Auto layout's auto spacing adds two new options alongside the existing default (now called "Between"): "Around" (even gaps with half a gap at each edge) and "Evenly" (identical gaps including the edges), matching CSS spacing patterns.
Admins can choose which skills, templates, libraries, and Make kits are recommended to their organisation or workspace; recommended resources show a checkmark and a tooltip crediting the admin.
Text wrap adds "Balance" (distributes text evenly across lines) and "Pretty" (avoids a stranded last word), settable on a text layer, style, or paragraph.
The Figma agent now supports skills from the Community: browse 50+ in the AI skills library, ask the agent to create a skill from a file's context, and publish skills back to the Community for others to try or remix.
Through the Figma MCP server, Weave tools can now be run from agent clients like ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor, with prompts, images, and brand guidelines kept in context and results returned in the same conversation.
