Figma's MCP server lets AI agents run Weave tools directly
Codex, Claude, or Cursor can now find, run, and return results from a Figma Weave tool without switching into Figma.
Figma MCP tools can now be run from AI agents including Codex, Claude, or Cursor, through the Figma MCP server. Instead of switching into Figma to run a Weave tool, a creator can describe what they need and the agent finds the tool, runs it, and returns the result in the conversation, keeping prompts, images, and brand guidelines in context.
For example, someone with a Brand mockup tool that turns product images into a mockup can ask their agent to run it in Figma Weave with a set of images, and the agent finds the tool, tracks its progress, and returns the result. Figma says building new workflows in Weave without leaving the agent is coming next. See the announcement for details.
