ElevenLabs opens a Madrid office
The company is building local sales and engineering teams as it expands in Spain, where clients like eDreams ODIGEO and MediaMarkt already use its Agents.
ElevenLabs has opened an office in Madrid and is building out local sales and engineering teams as it expands operations in Spain. The company points to Spain as a key market for voice AI: Spanish is the world's second most-spoken native language, with 520 million speakers, and Spain itself has four co-official languages (Castilian, Catalan, Galician and Basque), each requiring correct pronunciation and intonation.
Several Spanish companies are already using ElevenLabs' tools in production. eDreams ODIGEO handles customer support in five languages using Eleven Agents, moving from phone trees to AI agents that resolve queries and hand off to human staff when needed. MediaMarkt uses Eleven Agents for warranty extensions, insurance activations and subscription upsells across web, phone, WhatsApp and social media, and Santa Lucía Seguros uses the platform to add voice to its virtual assistant. Santander, one of the world's largest banks, is also a recent investor in ElevenLabs.
